If you would like to outsource a task and don’t know who to hire, you can post your job opening on a freelance website such as www.elance.com or www.guru.com. These websites’ members can view your job opening and bid against each other for the opportunity to work with you.
To post a job on these sites, you simply go to the individual websites and set up an account. This is free to do and it only takes a couple of minutes. You will then need to enter in some information about the job opening you have. Try to be as descriptive as possible. This will allow the contractors to give you the best bid possible.
These sites each have a unique messenger system which allows for communication between you and the contractor. If someone is interested in working with you, they will bid on the job. This means they are giving you a payment amount they are willing to do the job for.
You can ask the contractor questions about their work, see samples in their online portfolio and view recommendations left by people that they have previously worked with. If you do not feel that any of the contractors are qualified, you are under no obligation to hire them.
These sites recommend you correspond with the contractors through their messaging system, as all communication will be recorded. This will prevent anyone from claiming the other person said something they did not. Payments can also be sent through the websites’ payment systems.
If you use the service and find the person you hired to be an excellent contractor, you can get in touch with them directly the next time you need work performed. You do not have to use the site again.
Hope this helps!
